Everyone is always quick to say how overpriced living in NYC is. And while that's certainly true in some cases, in others, you can find an exceptionally beautiful apartment for a price that's not uncommon anywhere in the US (average rent in the US is $1,702).

Here's one example of an apartment that seems to be worth the cost, according to commenters.

The apartment is one bedroom/one bathroom and it's located in Brooklyn and you can get an in-depth tour of the apartment by watching the video below.

There's an entryway with enough space for a shoe rack (which some homes don't even have).

The kitchen, dining room, and living room are all part of an open-concept floor plan. Even with the limited space, the finishings are all modern and there's space for a couch, chair, four-seater dining room table, and a desk!

The bathroom is also super modern/updated and a decent size.

The bedroom has space for a queen bed, accent chair, sizable dresser, and clothing rack (in addition to the closet). Overall, a sizable room—especially since when you live in NYC you're likely on the go quite often and only using your bedroom to prepare for the day/sleep.

I highly recommend you watch the video to see an in-depth tour of the space and get styling and space-saving tips from the poster. She has tons of great advice to share.

Whether you live in NYC, want to move there someday, or are just curious about how people there live, it's a nice watch.
