The MOBA game Pokemon Unite offers various playable Pokemon that players can control against each other. Since the game's release this past July, there have been new characters and costumes added to the game to players' excitement.

By this point in time, Pokemon Unite has already added several new playable Pokemon into the game, including some popular Pokemon. One of which is the powerful Water-type Pokemon Blastoise from the Kanto Region, the final evolved form of Squirtle after Wartortle. Blastoise was added into the game back in September, and Pokemon Unite made an announcement of another reveal for Blastoise on December 30.

Pokemon Unite revealed Blastoise would be receiving a new costume called Tuxedo Style Blastoise, and the new costume is now available in the game. The announcement came from the official Twitter account for Pokemon Unite where it said that Tuxedo Style Blastoise is "dripping with style." The general reaction to the post was mostly positive with plenty of commenters excited to see Blastoise with the new costume.

At the time of writing, Pokemon Unite has not revealed how much the Tuxedo Style Blastoise costume will cost in the game. However, Blastoise isn't the only Pokemon who received a Tuxedo costume at the end of the year. Pokemon Unite made two other reveals on the same day, the first is that the Pokemon Greedent would be joining the New Year's party as Tuxedo Style Greedent. The second was that Slowbro, the evolved form of Slowpoke, would also be receiving a new costume as Tuxedo Style Slowbro. Both of the Pokemon tuxedo costumes are also available now in Pokemon Unite.

This isn't the first costume for Blastoise that was added in the game. After the large Water-type Pokemon was first added to Pokemon Unite, Blastoise received a costume called Holowear Blastoise. Similar to Tuxedo Style, this costume made the large Pokemon look fancier with a boater hat, sharp vest, brooch, and pocket square. For players to get the Holowear Blastoise, they had to spend 400 Aeos Gems in Pokemon Unite to get it. Blastoise later received a firefighter costume with a suit, hard hat, and protective shades that cost 1,200 Aeos gems in the game.

By the time the game added Blastoise, Pokemon Unite had over 20 playable Pokemon that players could choose from. Then after that, the game continued to add more Pokemon, notably the Dragon-type Pokemon Dragonite that was made unavailable this past December 19. Dragonite was added to the game as part of Pokemon Unite's winter-themed event and would join the game's Pokemon roster, including Lucario, Tsareena, Machamp, Charizard, and Blastoise to name a few.

Pokemon Unite is available now on Android, iOS, and the Nintendo Switch.
