Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks. In 2015, Watkins Glen State Park was won 3rd place in the USA TODAY Readers' Choice Poll for Best State Park in the United States.

The Glen's stream has a length of approx. 2 miles and descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course.

Buttermilk Falls State Park

Buttermilk Falls State Park is a beautiful park that has a foaming cascade formed by Buttermilk Creek as it flows down the steep valley side toward Cayuga Lake. Besides the cascade, the park also has a small lake that can be admired.
