Alamogordo High School Tennis Results from the Alamogordo Tennis’ Quad (Saturday’s matches vs. Clovis cancelled due to weather)

Vs. Cleveland - Alamogordo Boys win 8-1, Girls win 5-4

Vs. Espanola Valley - Girls win 6-3, Boys defeated 5-4

Both teams open district on April 1st at Centennial.

Results Against Cleveland High School: 

Boys Singles - Brayden Money and Reese Gentry win in pro set, Jaxon Spencer in straight sets, Michael Overstreet in 3 sets

Boys Doubles - Overstreet/J. Spencer, Money/Gentry and Montoya/Tyden Spencer win in pro set

Girls Singles - Eva Westover, Evony Lopez, Talee Westover win in straight sets

Girls Doubles - Malea & Eva Westover, Maddie Glass/Lopez, Talee Westover/Lily Burling win in straight sets

Against Espanola Valley High School:

Girls Singles - Eva Westover & Evony Lopez win in straight sets, Maddie Glass wins in 3

Girls Doubles - Malea & Eva Westover, Glass/Lopez, Lily Burling/Talee Westover win pro sets

Boys Singles - Tyden Spencer and Reese Gentry win in straight sets

Boys Doubles - Jaxon Spencer/Michael Overstreet, Tristen Montoya/T. Spencer win pro sets.

Mariah Granados of the Alamogordo High School Lady Tiger Softball Team was selected the 3/17/23, Tiger Athlete of the Week is sponsored by The Winners' Circle, 101.9 FM and 1230 AM Alamogordo Sports Radio.

In Baseball action around the area; Tularosa High School Wildcats defeated  Hot Springs High School 14-2 at the Hal Bogle Tournament in Dexter.  The Wildcats game on Friday was cancelled due to weather.
The Wildcats improve their record to 2 wins and 1 loss. They next host Ruidoso on Tuesday.

And also from Tularosa High School the New Mexico High School Coaches Association All-State Selection for Basketball in Boys 2A was awarded to 
Tularosa’s Dillon Salazar (Second Team)
