People still remember their favorite character, Terminator, from the film series "The Terminator." It was performed by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger, an Austrian-American actor, former bodybuilder, film producer, and politician. He served as the 38th Governor of California. He is also the role model for thousands of bodybuilders around the world.

He began to lift weight at the age of 15 and grabbed the title of Mr. Universe at the age of 20. He subsequently won the Mr. Olympia contest seven times.

This body-building legend said he had been eating a plant-based diet for the past five years. He claimed that it helped him to lower his cholesterol level. Schwarzenegger revealed that 80 percent of what he ate was vegan for the past five years in a recent edition of his email newsletter. He also added that he occasionally has steak.

He said this plant-based lifestyle has reversed his cholesterol and helped him control his low-density lipoprotein, also known by the abbreviation LDL. His doctor was shocked and thought he might be a different person.

Schwarzenegger was even featured in the documentary named “The Game Changer" which exhibits the role of a plant-based diet in overall body fitness. He also added that constant exercise could play a significant role in maintaining fitness.

Schwarzenegger, at his current age of 74, continues his fitness exercise. In his previous newsletter, he had revealed that he worked out six days a week, focusing on different parts of the body each day.

This inspiring man shows us the advantage of a vegan diet on health and inspires the young generation of bodybuilders to boost their muscle with plant-based diets.
