The Joliet Slammers minor league baseball team will be holding their Annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 2nd from 9 AM to 12 PM CST at the Duly Health and Care Field Hall of Fame Room.
People will be given a chance to see where the Joliet Slammers play free of charge. The Slammers will be having specials on tickets and on merchandise throughout the day.
Enthusiasm for the team is at an all-time high after the Slammers were bought by legendary actor Bill Murray and Mike Veeck, the son of former White Sox owner Bill Veeck. William Night Train Veeck, the son of Mike Veeck, will be in attendance to meet Slammers fans.
If you do choose to attend, then please bring a new, unwrapped gift. The gifts will be donated to the Toy Drive for the Boys and Girls Club of Joliet. If you bring a gift, then you will be entered into a drawing to see a night game in a suite next season.
Please bring your children because the Slammers will have a craft station set up where they will be able to decorate cookies. The Slammers will also be serving cookies, candy, hot chocolate, and coffee throughout the event.
Duly Health and Care Field is located at 1 Mayor Art Schultz Drive. The Hall of Fame Room is located on the Jefferson Street side of the field.
