Some of the migrants in Chicago that arrived from Central America, South America, and Mexico are feeling the deep freeze tonight with temperatures in the teens right now.

They are sleeping outside tonight because an empty lot at 38th and California was supposed to have been ready before winter arrived. However, the gravel just arrived on the site last week in order to build a temporary shelter center for the migrants.

While the migrants are sleeping outside, a bus is parked on site to serve as a warming center for the night. In the video, an immigrant from Honduras who is technically here illegaly said that he regrets that he left and that Chicago is worse than Honduras. The comparison of Honduras to Chicago should be a wake-up call for the residents in the Windy City because Honduras has the 4th highest murder rate in the world.

The weather is so cold that migrants are resorting to stealing winter coats from stores.

In the above video, the Venezuelan migrants were charged with burglary and retail theft after driving from Chicago to steal winter coats from the Macy's in Oak Brook. Since the charges are listed as Class 2 and Class 3 felonies, they were released according to the SAFE-T Act even though they do not have an exact address for them because none of them had a valid driver's license.
