The Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival kicks off on Thursday, September 21st from 4 PM to 8 PM CST with the 6th Annual Farm Fest at the Shadows-on-the-Teche. The Shadows-on-the-Teche is located at 317 E. Main Street in New Iberia. Admission for the Farm Fest will be $10 per family. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Plenty of entertainment will be packed within these four hours at the Farm Fest. Local jazz band 2NL Jazz Combo will be on stage from 4 to 6 PM. The Andy Smith Band will close out the Farm Fest from 6 to 8 PM. The band covers hits from the '80's and the '90's.
For food, local food truck Bambino's Burgers will be on site. The Shadows will also be serving Jolet hot dogs. If anyone goes to the Farm Fest, then please let me know what in the world is Jolet hot dogs in the comments. Thank you.
For dessert, you will be able to decorate your own cupcake with The Frosted Apron.
The 2KB Farm will have a petting zoo at the Farm Fest. Some of the animals that will be in the petting zoo are sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, and pigs.
There will also be a kids raffle with four different prizes: a John Deere ride-on tractor, a John Deere pedal tractor, and two tractor-themed holiday decorations.
