Illinois National Guard Job Fair on 9/17

The Mt. Vernon Armed Forces Reserve Center is holding the Illinois National Guard Job Fair on Sunday, September 17th from 10 AM to 2 PM CST. The Mt. Vernon Armed Forces Reserve Center is located at 600 Shiloh Drive.

This job fair is open to active military members, to military veterans, and to family members of someone in the military or of someone that has served in the military. To register for this job fair, you will have to download the registration form and bring it on Sunday.

The question that you may be asking is the same question that I was asking about this career fair. "Why in the world would someone in the military need a civilian job right now?"

The answer to that question is that US Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) is blocking over 300 promotions within the Armed Forces. Since job openings are stalled within the military at this time, military members must look for jobs this fall.
