155th Belmont Stakes lineup and odds on 6/10

Adrian Holman

The 155th edition of the Belmont Stakes will take place on Saturday, June 10. The Belmont Stakes is the final race of horse racing's Triple Crown. The Belmont Stakes is the oldest race in the Triple Crown and is the longest race in the Triple Crown with the race being 1 1/2 miles in length. In the past, 23 different horses have won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, but were not able to overcome the distance at Belmont.

There was some concern about this race even being ran on Saturday due to the wildfire smoke, but races were held at Belmont Park on Friday. The Air Quality Index is back under 100 in New York, so the smoke will not be an issue for the jockeys and the horses. Fortunately, the weather will remain clear for Saturday because too many horses have died this season.

National Treasure will be looking to win back-to-back races after winning the Preakness Stakes three weeks ago. However, National Treasure is not the favorite in this race. The favorite for the Belmont is Forte, the horse that was the favorite at the Kentucky Derby, but was scratched from the race due to a fever.

Here is a look at the lineup for the Belmont Stakes on Saturday. The odds that are listed below are the odds at the time of this writing.

1. Tapit Shoes - 16-1.

2. Tapit Trice - 6-1.

3. Arcangelo - 8-1.

4. National Treasure - 9-2.

5. Il Miracolo - 20-1.

6. Forte - 5-2.

7. Hit Show - 10-1.

8. Angel of Empire - 7-2.

9. Red Route One - 12-1.

As you can see from the odds, you can see that this race will be very close with all nine horses having a path to victory due to the distance.
