Start off your Memorial Day weekend right with the Blues & Brews Fest on Saturday, May 27th from Noon to 8 PM CST. The Blues & Brews Fest will be at the Forge Lemont Quarries located at 227 Heritage Quarries Drive in Lemont. Tickets for the event are $10 per person. The place will be packed because Forge was running a ticket promotion in which the first thousand tickets were sold for $5. Those tickets are sold out.

As soon as the doors open at noon, blues music will be playing because four different blues musicians will be performing at the Blues & Brews Fest.

Starting the day off at noon will be the Smiley Tillman Blues Duo. Tillman is a Windy City legend because he has been singing the blues in the Chicago area for 55 years.

At 2 PM, Matt Shukin & The Ramblers will perform. They cover different genres of music like blues, classic R&B, and Roots Country.

At 4 PM, Duke Tumatoe & The Power Trio will perform. Duke Tumatoe was one of the founding members of REO Speedwagon, but he moved on to perform the blues nationwide for over 35 years. Duke Tumatoe & The Power Trio are true blues legends.

To close out the show at 6 PM is Joanna Connor. Connor has been bringing the house down worldwide for over a decade with her powerful blend of blues and rock.

You cannot have a Blues & Brews Fest without the brews. There will be craft beers available from thirteen different independent brewing companies in the Chicagoland area.

A couple of food trucks will be on site to keep you full throughout the day. The Flyin Hawaiian will be serving featured dishes like garlic shrimp, kalbi beef, teriyaki wings, and Hawaiian fried rice. Serna's Grill will be serving up monster gyros and monster fries.

Have a good time and stay away from the ziplines if you have too many brews.
