The Minooka United Methodist Church will be having a community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 8th at 10 AM CST on the lawn of Channahon United Methodist Church at 24751 W. Eames Street (US Route 6) in Channahon.

You may be wondering, "Why is this church in Channahon allowing for a different church in Minooka to have an Easter egg hunt on their property?" I was wondering the same thing when I saw this announcement as well.

Therefore, I did the research in advance for the parents that want to bring their children to this free Easter egg hunt. Fortunately, there was nothing nefarious going on like a church takeover. The Channahon United Methodist Church is sharing their property at this time with Minooka United Methodist Church temporarily because Minooka United Methodist Church is in the process of building a new church on Ridge Road in Minooka. You are welcome to enjoy the festivities with your children on Saturday.

The children that will be allowed to be in the Easter egg Hunt must be ten years old or younger. The lawn will be divided up into different age groups so that children of all ages will be able to go home with a few eggs. Having each child that participates go home with some eggs will prevent parents from being ticked off at the organizers of this community Easter Egg hunt.

From looking at the event page, there is no mention of the Easter Bunny showing up at this Easter egg hunt. If you see someone dressed up as the Easter Bunny at this event, then you will probably need to stay away from this Easter Bunny, especially since this lawn is right next to Central Park. That person could probably be a creeper that was hung over from the night before from either The Office or Lalo's after having a way too good Good Friday.
