Underwater Easter Egg Hunt on 3/24

Adrian Holman

The Galowich YMCA will be holding an underwater Easter egg hunt on Friday, March 24th at the pool from 4:30 PM CST to 7:30 PM. Everything becomes more fun when done underwater except for drowning. There will be staff members there from the Aquatics Department to ensure that nobody drowns while hunting for eggs.

This Easter egg hunt is free of charge for you and your family. However, you will need to register for this event. There will be three separate egg hunts being done so that everyone will have a chance to grab some eggs in the water and to take a picture with the Easter Bunny.

The three time slots are 4:45 to 5:30 PM, 5:45 to 6:30 PM, and 6:45 to 7:30 PM. Currently, there are 32 spots left for the first time slot. The second time slot only has six spots left. The final time slot has 17 spots left. If you and your family are looking to grab some more eggs in the pool, then go for that first time slot.

When you register, then you only need to register how many people will actually be in the pool because the maximum amount of people that can be in the pool at one time is sixty. If you register a child that cannot swim, then someone 16 years or older must be in the pool with that child.

The employees from the Aquatics Department will give wristbands to all who will be in the pool. A blue wristband will be given to those who are able to swim in the deep end. A yellow wristband will be given to those who can show that they can swim from the middle of the pool to the shallow end without any assistance. Everyone else will be given a red wristband. Those with red wristbands will have to stay in the shallow end and will have to wear a life jacket.
