On Saturday, former US President Donald Trump stated that he would be arrested on Tuesday, March 21st. The reason for the potential prosecution is for using campaign funds to give out a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016 before the General Election.

Former President Trump sent out this statement on Saturday on Truth Social claiming that he will be indicted by the Manhattan District in New York City for cooking the books.

"Illegal leaks from a corrupt & highly political Manhattan District Attorney's office ... indicate that with no crime being able to be proven ... the far & away leading Republican candidate & former President of the United States of America will be arrested on Tuesday of next week. Protest, take our nation back!"

Former President Trump's current lawyer Joe Tacopina said on Friday that he would turn himself in if he was indicted.

"There won't be a standoff at Mar-a-Lago with Secret Service and the Manhattan's DA office."

Even though former President Trump has said that he will be arrested this Tuesday, the actual indictment with the charges has not been released by the Manhattan District. If the Manhattan District releases the indictment on Tuesday, then former President Trump would not be booked on that day.

First, he would have to fly from Florida to New York. However, hundreds of people from around the country are headed to New York to protest on Tuesday. The people will be protesting even though he will not be in New York yet. Authorities are preparing for these protests now. The plan is to be more prepared or we could all be watching another January 6th insurrection play out.
