If you are looking to party some more after St. Paddy's Day, then head over to downtown Yorkville for this year's Yorkville St. Patrick's Day Celebration on Saturday, March 18th.
This party will be filled with simultaneous chaotic madness. Bars in the town will open at 8 AM. Start off your breakfast with some kegs and eggs.
Getting a few drinks in will prepare you for the Lucky Leprechaun Hunt at 9 AM. A leprechaun has left a pot of gold in one of Yorkville's parks. You will be given three hours in order to find the pot of gold. The first 50 people that locate the pot of gold will receive a prize that can be redeemed at Riverfront Park.
While the treasure hunt is going on, the Irish March Parade will begin at 11 AM at Riverfront Park. The participating floats will begin to line up at the Riverfront Park playground at Hydraulic Avenue at 10:15 AM. Then, the parade will start to go east on Hydraulic Avenue at 11 AM. The parade will then end at the corner of Hydraulic Avenue and Illinois Route 47.
There will also be live music going on throughout the event. Music will begin at 10 AM at the Law Office Pub and Grill and at Dakotas. The band Clusterpluck will be at the Law Office at 10 AM, while the Rich Sawyer Duo will be at Dakotas at the same time. Be sure to bar hop so that you will be able to see both bands. The Gleeson Irish Trio will close out the music at 1 PM at the Law Office with traditional Irish songs.
The final event for this extravaganza will be the fireworks show at 7 PM. The fireworks show will take place at the intersection of Countryside Parkway and Illinois Route 47.
