Power Slap League will be premiering on Wednesday, January 18th at 10 PM EST/PST on TBS. The Power Slap League is the first slap fighting league sanctioned in the USA by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The Power Slap League is owned by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White.

To keep things fair, there will be men's and women's divisions along with weight classes. The weight classes will be congruent to the same weight classes utilized in mixed martial arts (MMA).

Normal slap fights will be three rounds with championship fights being five rounds just like in the UFC. In each round, the two contestants will slap each other one time. A person can win by knockout (KO) or by technical knockout (TKO) if the opponent is knocked out by a slap or is unable to continue after a slap.

If the fight goes the distance, then the winner will be decided by a ten-point system similar to the judging used in boxing.

To ensure that the Power Slap League received even more promotion before the premiere on the 18th, White was caught on video on New Year's Eve slapping his wife in Cabo, Mexico.

White was not arrested in Mexico for slapping his wife because Mexico is unfortunately known as the country of femicide. In 2021, 3,750 women were murdered and 100,000 women were kidnapped within Mexico. Most of these women were killed by their boyfriends or their husbands. White slapping his wife more than likely increased the Power Slap League fan base in the Latino community throughout the USA.

I will definitely be watching the Power Slap League on TBS on Wednesday. Please let me know if you will be watching in the comments.
