The Village of Shorewood will be hosting the 2nd annual Shorewood Holiday Market from Friday, December 2nd to Sunday, December 4th at the Towne Center. The first Holiday Market went so well that the Village of Shorewood decided to make this weekend an annual event.
The Holiday Market will be opened on Friday from 4 PM until 9 PM CST, on Saturday from 2 PM to 9 PM, and on Sunday from 12 PM until 6 PM. Tickets for admission to the Holiday Market will be $5 apiece.
Please make sure to be there on Friday at 5 PM in order to see the tree lighting. You will be able to see all of the holiday lights throughout the Towne Center. Other highlights on Friday evening will be Christmas carols sung by the Minooka Community High School Madrigals at 6 PM along with hayrack rides from 6 PM until 8 PM.
Bring your children on Saturday as someone will be dressed up like Olaf from Frozen from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. More hayrack rides will be taking place from 4 PM until 8 PM. The Olde Towne Carolers will be singing Christmas carols from 6 PM until 8 PM. Who knew that there were enough Christmas carols to sing for two hours straight?
The main event will be on Sunday with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus making an appearance between noon and 3 PM. The live reindeer will be there between 2 PM and 6 PM.
At the ticket booth, they will be selling Holiday Market mugs for $5 and drink punch cards. The cards are $5 per drink and five drinks for $20. The drink cards can be used to buy beer, mulled wine, or adult hot chocolate.
There will be 45 different vendors there selling items to consumers. Bundle up because the market will be outside. Here are some highlights from last year's Holiday Market.
