Movie Night in the Village Commons on 8/10

Adrian Holman

For the entire summer, the city of New Lenox has been having Movie Night Wednesdays in the Village Commons. The last Movie Night Wednesday for this year at the Village Commons off of US Route 30 will be this Wednesday on August 10th at 6:30 PM CST.

The festivities will begin with a presentation from the New Lenox Community Band. The New Lenox Community Band has been performing at different events in New Lenox since 2006. The band consists of volunteer musicians within the community that play American classics. The band sounds like what you would expect from an orchestra or a symphony.

Then, Movie Night will commence at 8:30 PM. The Village of New Lenox picked a fun movie to finish this year's series with "The Boss Baby: Family Business." The animated sequel of "The Boss Baby" that was released last year turned out to be as fun and as adventurous as the original.

The best part about this movie night on Wednesday evening is that admission to the event is absolutely free for all ages. Parking is free as well with available parking spaces at the south parking lot of the New Lenox Village Commons and at the parking lot of the Old Plank Trail Community Bank. If those parking lots are full, then you will be able to park along the street around the New Lenox Village Commons. Please do not block anyone when you park so that there will not be a demolition derby.

Since this event will be about 4 hours, food and non-alcoholic beverages will be sold. No smoking and no pets will be allowed. However, bring lawn chairs and blankets for the movie.
