The Las Vegas Raiders won the last four games of the regular season in order to reach the AFC Playoffs last season with a 10-7 record. The Raiders ended up losing 26-19 in the AFC Wild Card Game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Nevertheless, Las Vegas will look to use that momentum in order to propel themselves forward this season.
The Raiders sent this year's first round pick and second round pick to the Green Bay Packers for WR Davante Adams. Adams is one of the top three wide receivers in the NFL right now. Here is a look at how the Raiders used the rest of their picks in the NFL Draft.
Round 3, Pick 26: Dylan Parham - G - Memphis (6'3", 311 lbs).
Parham started at tackle and at guard for the Tigers during his college career. He will provide depth to the offensive line.
Round 4, Pick 17: Zamir White - RB - Georgia (6'0", 214 lbs, 856 rushing yds, 11 TD).
White adds depth to the running back position. He could see some time because Raiders RB's Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake missed plenty of games last season due to injuries. Those injuries led to the Raiders being 28th in rushing yards last season. He could also see some time on special teams because he blocked a punt during his college career.
Round 4, Pick 21: Neil Farrell - DT - LSU (6'4", 330 lbs, 9.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks).
Farrell should see some time in the defensive tackle rotation. The Raiders ranked 19th in stopping the run last season.
Round 5, Pick 32: Matthew Butler - DT - Tennessee (6'4", 297 lbs, 8.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks).
Butler will also see time in the defensive tackle rotation on passing downs due to his ability to rush the passer.
Round 7, Pick 17: Thayer Munford, Jr. - OT - Ohio State (6'6", 328 lbs).
Munford started at guard and at tackle for the Buckeyes during his college tenure. He will add even more depth to the offensive line.
Round 7, Pick 29: Brittain Brown - RB - UCLA (6'1", 205 lbs, 615 rushing yds, 7 TD).
Brown could also see some time in the running back rotation.
The Raiders used their remaining picks to bolster their running game and their passing game. Trading for Davante Adams is one of the best moves this offseason in the NFL. Grade: A+.
