The Will County Land Use Department and the Resource Recovery and Energy Division will be conducting its annual Book Reuse and Recycling event at the Pilcher Park Nature Center in Joliet this weekend. The Book Reuse and Recycling event will be held at 9 AM to 4 PM CST from Friday, June 3rd until Sunday, June 5th.
If you have a bunch of books that you no longer read, then bring all of those books to Pilcher Park to be reused and recycled. All of those books that are brought to the event will be placed on tables that others can take home for free. The books remaining after 4 PM on Sunday will be recycled by the Will County Land Use Department.
If you are looking for some good books to read this summer, then Pilcher Park will be the place that you need to go this weekend. You will be able to take home as many books as you want at no charge. Gaining knowledge over the mediocre masses this summer will be priceless.
For libraries and schools that need to do away with hundreds of old books, then give the Resource Recovery and Energy Division a call on Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM CST. You can schedule an appointment on Saturday or Sunday before the event opens in order to drop off expiring inventory. The phone number for the Resource Recovery and Energy Division is 815-727-8834.
The address for the Pilcher Park Nature Center is 2501 Highland Park Drive right off of US Route 30 in Joliet.
