The national non-profit group Mobilize and the Will County Progressives will be holding a Bans Off Our Bodies Will County march from 11 AM to 1 PM CST at Settler's Park in Plainfield on Saturday, May 14.

The reason for this march is due to a Supreme Court draft that was leaked last week. The draft shows that the Roe v. Wade case from 1973 that gave women abortion rights would be overturned later on this year. Once abortion rights are taken away, all abortions after 20 weeks would be banned in the USA.

There are some cases in which a woman would need an abortion after twenty weeks of pregnancy due to medical complications. Some medical complications that can kill a mother while she is pregnant are severe internal bleeding and increased blood pressure. Around 800 women per day from around the world die from pregnancy complications. With the upcoming new abortion ban, more women would end up dying due to complications.

Also with the new ban, doctors and women choosing to have abortions after 20 weeks could be arrested. In the state of Texas, this ban has been in effect since last year. Last month, Texas authorities arrested a lady and charged her with murder for having an abortion.
