Adrian Holman

The Grundy County Land Use Department is currently holding a Gently Used Toy Drive from now until Friday, December 19th. The goal of this toy drive as with any toy drive is to make sure that each and every child receives a gift on Christmas Day.

The Grundy County Land Use Department is looking for people to donate gently used children's toys, children's games, plush animals, and DVD's. All of these items will first be sanitized and then distributed to children in need within Grundy County by Rotary International.

Giving toys at this time is absolutely necessary as the country is now reeling from supply chain issues that will impact us all during the holidays. Making sure that children have a toy this Christmas will save them from deal with unnecessary trauma in the future.

At the time of this writing, you now have three weeks for you to find something to donate. Six different collection centers have been established throughout Grundy County so that you can drop off what you intend to donate. Here is a list of the collection centers.

Grundy County Administration Building -- 1320 Union Street in Morris.

Morris Public Library -- 604 Liberty Street in Morris.

Coal City Public Library -- 85 N. Garfield in Coal City.

Minooka Three Rivers -- 109 West Wabena in Minooka.

Channahon Three Rivers Library -- 25207 West Channahon Drive in Channahon.

Fossil Ridge Library -- 386 West Kennedy Road in Braidwood.

Take the time to stop looking at your phone for a few minutes and donate to the Gently Used Toy Drive before December 19th.
