Taking advantage of a "free day" to visit the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago
The Shedd Aquarium is Chicago aquarium, set on beautiful Lake Michigan. The Shedd opened in 1930 and for some time was the largest aquarium in world. Today there are about 32,000 animals in the Shedd Aquarium. The Shedd Aquarium often offers free days to Illinois residents. We were all too happy to take advantage of a free day and visit the Shedd one evening. We especially love the beluga whales and the penguins.
Food and fun, that is what we love. And we love to find both of those things in our home city of Chicago, the Midwest, and beyond!
