A 25-year-old woman was indicted by a New York jury on charges of severely shaking her boyfriend's infant during a diaper change. The baby passed away as a result of his injuries.
Tiara Allen is accused of beating the baby when he grew "fussy" on July 7 and is charged with multiple crimes, including murder. The infant passed away in August due to a ruptured blood artery in his brain.
Law & Crime Documented The Case
According to court records obtained by Law & Crime, Allen attempted to calm the baby with his bottle and pacifier before becoming enraged with him. According to reports, she took up the infant and gave it a back-and-forth shake out of "frustration and anger."
Allen allegedly roughly changed the baby's diaper by shoving his legs up after attempting to calm him down. After changing the baby's diaper, she saw that the child was limp and tried to get assistance from other people, but to no avail.
She will appear in court on January 8 after entering a not-guilty plea to the allegations.
The Mother And Three Children
When emergency responders arrived at the mother of his three children's home, they found it fully engulfed with flames and large plumes of black smoke emitting from the residence windows and the door, according to officials. A Florida man was charged with first-degree murder and arson last month.
The mother and three children were located by firefighters after they made their way through "heavy smoke." In addition to the burns, the woman also had almost a hundred knife wounds and a newborn perished. The two other kids were in critical condition when they got to the hospital.
The following day, 34-year-old Charles Ivy—who had sustained a leg injury—was observed putting baggage into an SUV. During a traffic check, investigators located him, but the father resisted being taken into custody.
