In connection with the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man in 2021 that was seen on film, a man from East Islip, New York, pled guilty to murder and gun charges.
Ismael Rodriguez-Rosado confessed to killing German Ariel Montes De Oca Ramirez of Bay Shore outside a restaurant in August 2021, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.
On August 2, 2021, at around one in the morning, Rodriguez-Rosado and Montes De Oca Ramirez got into a fight in front of Mi Nueva Encanto Restaurant and Bar in Central Islip, according to the findings of the investigation.
Rodriguez-Rosado killed Montes De Oca Ramirez by shooting him four times with a 9-millimeter pistol during the dispute. Shots were fired outside the pub, the witness reported to 911, and a red Ford Edge SUV was observed departing the area southbound on Carleton Avenue.
An Undercover Police Officer Witnessed The Incident
The investigation claims that Rodriguez-Rosado took the SUV to a petrol station where undercover police officers saw it and tried to stop it from leaving. However, Rodriguez-Rosado hit the covert car and drove away from the parking space.
Rodriguez-Rosado allegedly drove wildly along the middle of Commack Road toward approaching cars after being brought there by the police. Rodriguez-Rosado's car spun and stopped when the policeman hit the rear wheel of it. He was then taken into custody.
With the aid of the Suffolk County Police K-9 team, investigators discovered the murder weapon about a mile from the scene of Rodriguez-Rosado's arrest. The investigators also found and watched a security video that had been recording the murder as it was happening.
