Five days have passed since former president Donald Trump warned the public that he anticipated being detained and urged his supporters to "PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST" in New York City.
New York where swarms of fully uniformed NYPD, Secret Service, and other officers secured the Manhattan Criminal Court perimeter in anticipation of a potential grand jury indictment. The grand jury meets again on Wednesday afternoon after a break on Tuesday, and all eyes are on Manhattan and its district attorney.
The New York Young Republican's Club
So far, protests have been sporadic and largely subdued. This week, a few members of the New York Young Republican's Club donned MAGA hats and held a rally outside the Manhattan Criminal Court, and there have been a few unplanned protests at Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan.
The NYPD and its law enforcement partners at all levels of government are preparing in case the grand jury decides to indict Trump, which would be the first indictment of a sitting or former U.S. president in history. It is unclear, however, whether any potential organized actions could become more intense.

According to an internal document acquired by News 4, all NYPD officers, regardless of rank, were instructed to dress in their uniforms and get ready for deployment as of Tuesday.
All uniformed service personnel was told in the memo, which was issued by the commanding officer of the NYPD's operations section, to follow protocol regarding instances of public unrest and to be ready to mobilize at any time while on duty.
