According to the police, in 21 incidents, four people on mopeds rode past people who were wearing headphones and snatched them off their heads.

Every event that was reported to the authorities took place between January 28 and February 18, 2023. The majority of the victims are female and in their 20s.

Description of Suspects By Police

The rear passengers on many of the incidents—which involved two males on each moped—stole the headphones. The suspects are described by police as being guys with medium complexions.

A suspect is seen clutching two pairs of headphones in security footage that documents one of the occurrences. The suspect is described by authorities as having a medium build, having black hair, and dressing all in black.

The video also showed the slim-built driver of a black scooter wearing an all-black outfit as well as a black helmet. The typical cost of these headphones is $500. There have been no reported injuries.
