Morning swimming lessons are now available at public swimming pools

SAINT PAUL, MN — Looking for a bit of a splash this summer? The City of Saint Paul Public Swimming Pools are open, and for those looking for a swimming lesson, a new morning class is now available at Highland Park Aquatic Center and Como Regional Park Pool.

The schedule for those classes is as follows:

Highland Park Aquatic Center

Note: Additional 11 a.m. classes are now available.

  • Session 3 – July 5 – 15
  • Session 4 – July 19 – 29
  • Session 5 – August 2 – 12

Como Regional Park Pool

  • Session 3 – July 5 – 15
  • Mini Session 3E – July 19 – 28
  • Session 4 – July 19 – 29
  • Mini Session 4E - August 2 - 11
  • Session 5 – August 2 – 12

Summer Lap Swim, Water Aerobics, and Water Walking

  • Reservations will not be required for summer lap swim, water aerobics, and water walking.
  • Lesson fee is $8/day. Free for all-access summer aquatics members.
  • Aquatics memberships can be purchased starting on May 15.
  • Visit Highland Park Aquatic Center and Como Regional Park Pool websites for hours.

Details & Descriptions

  • Swimming lessons are offered seasonally at Como Regional Park Pool, Highland Park Aquatic Center, and Great River Water Park.
  • Registration can be done online, by calling, or in person.
  • Lessons start on the hour and last for 50 minutes.
  • There are eight classes per session or four classes per mini-session.
  • If there a class is canceled, make-up days will be held if possible.

Children with disabilities or specific needs are encouraged to participate in the program. Call the Adaptive Recreation office at 651-793-6635 for more information.
