The Griego family is barely holding together after they learned of their adorable daughter, Crystal’s, health issues. The 20 month old girl was born with multiple heart defects and is waiting for a heart transplant at Children’s Hospital Colorado when another tragedy struck them. Her mother’s grey Kia Sorento got stolen, and with it went her toys, gifts, teddy bears, and blankets.
Thieves stole their car worth $30,000. But owners are only worried about getting back their child’s belongings.
The mother told the media that she didn’t care about the car but is instead worried about Crystal as they don’t know what her future holds, and “all those things are really precious to her.” She added that “this” couldn’t have happened at a more difficult time and called the incident “traumatizing.”
When their car was stolen, the family was staying at Brent’s Place near Colfax and Peoria in Aurora, a housing facility for sick children. The surveillance camera caught the suspects in the act of crime.
The heartbroken mother shared that her car was insured and isn’t worried about getting it back. She is begging for help to retrieve her daughter’s things and has sought help from others. In case you have any information, Griego asks you to kindly contact Aurora Police.
