Mostert announced on Twitter that he is undergoing season ending knee surgery and will be out for the 2021 NFL season. During the Kyle Shanahan press conference on Monday, he had mentioned that Mostert tore cartilage off his knee during the 49ers vs. Lions week 1 matchup and would be placed in IR, shelving him for eight weeks, but after consulting with doctors, Mostert has elected to undergo season-ending knee surgery.
