360 Magazine

April 8, 2022 — Los Angeles, CA — Korean-American singer, songwriter and composer, eaJ, has released his highly anticipated first single as a solo artist, today. Released with Soka Talent Group, home to artists like keshi and BoyWithUke; eaJ first performed "Car Crash" on the main stage at 88 Risings Head In The Clouds Festival at Rosebowl Stadium last November. His solo career had not yet even officially begun as he took to the most well-known main stage for Asian American music. Now in 2022, eaJ has moved back to his hometown of California and is ready for this new journey to begin with the release of "Car Crash."

A song that’s been in the works for a long time now, ““Car Crash" wasn’t written with the purpose of breaking off solo” eaJ says. He elaborates “It was because I needed a festival song for Head In The Clouds. It went from being just a song to jump and have fun with the crowd on stage, to becoming my first ever real release.” The love and dedication radiating from his fans during his first public performance in 2 years, was all the proof eaJ needed to make this his first release. “There’s been so much that's happened in my life the past few years, but the fans have really stayed strong and stuck by my side. I couldn’t believe it, “Car Crash” received a ton of pre-saves and we were trending worldwide, the support has been so strong. It means a lot to me. I think it’s important that my fans and I take a dive with this song and keep pushing forward together” eaJ says of the bond with his fans.

Produced by premier lifestyle gaming brand 100 Thieves, the music video for “Car Crash” stars 100 Thieves Co-Owner Rachell "Valkyrae" Hofstetter, along with 100 Thieves Creators and Twitch Streamers Kyedae and Will Neff.

“Jae’s such a good friend and a super talented artist so I’m really just so excited to support this huge step he’s taking as a solo artist with Car Crash. Working together on the music video was a blast and I love seeing how K-Pop and Gaming came together for this awesome music video release!” - 100 Thieves Co-Owner Rachell "Valkyrae" Hofstetter

eaJ has been cementing himself as a powerful performer over the past 8 years of his career; with The A.V. Club witnessing that energy last November, “Somehow, eaJ—who still technically doesn’t have any songs available on streaming platforms—commands the crowd. [...] when it’s time to do fan-favorite “50 Proof,” eaJ pulls off a gut-wrenching rendition that feels like I’m being taken to church.” They weren’t the only ones to notice eaJ’s talent and charisma, with similar praises from places such as Good Day LA, iHeart, Buzzfeed, Audacy, idobi Radio, ET Canada, TMRW Magazine, and more.

Park Jae-hyung (Korean: 박제형), better known as Jae, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and composer of Korean descent, best known as a former vocalist and lead guitarist of South Korean rock band Day6.
