When you think of Oregon, hot springs probably isn't the first thing to come to mind.
But as you explore this diverse state, you will see that they are everywhere. From established to primitive, there is a little something for everyone.
Crystal Crane Hot Springs
Crystal Crane Hot Springs is in Central Oregon. It is one of the established hot springs in the state but it is one of the best. They have a couple hot tubs that you can sit in and private tubs, but their main hot spring is a pond with a rocky bottom. It feels primitive, but it is amazingly clean.
It took us quite some time to actually try this place out. We were more interested in primitive or hot springs with a view. When friends finally talked us into it we were glad they did.
You can come for the day or you can stay. They have multiple options. You can rent a tepee, single room cabin, suite or stay in your RV. For RVs they have full hook ups, designated spots or primitive. We were happy to choose the primitive area in the back. It's $30 a night but gives you access to everything you need. The bathrooms/showers, kitchen area and 24 hour access to the hot springs.
You can bring your dogs too, but they can't get in the hot springs. For them there is a pond near the primitive area with a walking path around.
Stargazing at night is amazing here. There is zero light pollution so you can see satellites floating by, every star constellation and even the milky way.
Here is a drone shot of the main grounds.
So the next time you are driving in Central Oregon and see the sign for Crystal Crane Hot Springs, make sure to stop by and experience their amazing hot springs!
